Australia Company Data – Place of Birth

Overview

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) supplies a director’s place of birth. We have mapped this information to the placeOfBirth object for Australia (ISO code AU). Place of birth is now returned there, as a structured address with an identifier and a fullAddress.

Key points

New field: placeOfBirth is now returned on each representatives record, carrying the value supplied by ASIC.
Structured: placeOfBirth follows the standard address structure, with identifier and fullAddress.
No change to the value: the data returned is the same registry value.
Transition period: nationality will continue to return the same place-of-birth value until December 31st 2026, so existing integrations are not broken by this release.
Deprecation: from December 31st 2026, nationality will no longer be populated for Australia. Move any dependency to placeOfBirth before that date.
