Overview
Enhanced Profile for Canada covers all 14 jurisdictions: Alberta, British Columbia, Federal, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Yukon (CA-YU).
Canada’s Enhanced Profile on V2 is always an asynchronous order underneath. Placing an order explicitly returns an order reference to poll. A direct request places the same kind of order, but can return the profile inline when the registry responds within the request window, Canada Federal being a registry that often does. Otherwise it falls back to the same pending-response-and-poll path. Because many Canadian registries fulfil orders outside the request window, build for the poll path and treat an immediate profile as the exception.
How to order
Place the order withPOST /v2/companies/{kyckrId}/enhanced, then poll GET /v2/orders/{orderId} until data.status reaches Success. See the V2 async order pattern release note for the full request and response mechanics, including polling cadence and recovering a lost orderId.
On success, the order result carries two links:
links.document: the Enhanced Profile PDFlinks.data: the structured JSON profile
The Enhanced Profile PDF
The PDF is a single combined document: the normalized Kyckr Enhanced Profile as the primary body, followed by an appendix containing the raw registry extract. This gives you the normalized view and the original source document in one delivery.Data availability
Field coverage varies by jurisdiction. Shareholder records are only returned for Quebec, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Prince Edward Island, and carry only name and address, never an ownership percentage. The federal registry carries no shareholder records, but where it and Quebec return significant-control information, that describes who controls the company and how, not share ownership. See the Canada country guide for the full jurisdiction and data availability breakdown.Significant control and beneficial ownership
Federal Canada’s Individuals with Significant Control (ISC) declarations, and Quebec’s own bénéficiaires ultimes declarations, are mapped intoultimateBeneficialOwners[].natureOfControl. Each disclosed fact is carried as its own array entry, in the register’s own wording: the control basis, an ownership or voting-rights band, direct or indirect holding, joint-holding status.
This is a normalization-limited mapping: natureOfControl entries are free text, not structured data. A dedicated Beneficial Ownership Declarations product, normalized to a common data model across jurisdictions, is planned to eventually supersede this mapping for the jurisdictions it covers.
